Hey everyone,

Welcome to the first weekly update of me building Smart Finance Tracker in Public.

For those people who don't know anything about it,

Smart finance tracker is an all-in-one Notion Dashboard to automate, visualize, and manage your finances 💸 and I'm building in public 🌐.

I'm doing this so you guys can join me and understand the process of building a Notion template from 💡 idea -> 🚀 launch

And in this process, I'm sharing with you all my planning, creative process, daily creating, website building process, etc. Also this way, I'm low-key promoting it too 😉.

What happened this week?

I have set an arbitrary deadline for completing this template and launching it in two weeks and here are stat's for my first week:-

🏆 We made this template literally the best Notion finance tracker (I'm serious)

Long story short, I worked on an internal automation formula that would automatically reset the budget tracker so you don't have to ever manually remove transactions after they get out the month.

In most other finance trackers, if there is a budget tracker it would add up all the transactions which will cause a problem just after a month when you have to reset your budget.

I'm still working on it and the template that you see on the iPad is not a finance tracker but here's a preview that you may like:-

📹 I created 5 progress videos for you guys to see my progress.

As I said, I want this journey of me creating this template in public to be as beneficial as it is for me. So, I created 5 progress videos that you can watch and observe my process of working on templates.

Also, I tried improving my video editing skills in each video taking input from you guys on Twitter, so each video is better than the other 😄

The grand announcement for the week is that I'm building three versions of the Smart Finance Tacker and each version is superior to the other 😱

I'm getting so much pumped about this Notion template 🤩 and I hope you guys are excited about this too.
