I'm gonna be brutally honest tonight. 99% of the Notion templates suck. Some of mine do too (guilty!)

Reason: Notion is not the only skill you need to build good templates.

If you're building a Finance Tracker, you need to be darn good at finance.

If you're building a Content OS, you need to spend a good time creating content.

People without knowledge create templates that would work best for them. But for others, sometimes it works (true) but other times, when it is as specific as finance, they do a terrible job.

My Journey to find the best Notion Finance Tracker (it's not mine 🥲)

This time instead of looking for the most beautiful or one with the most graphs. I searched for a template that could actually manage my finances as a small business owner.

Most templates were so basic that their complexity ended at the subscription tracker.

So, I heard about theAccountantGuy, who is an actual Chartered Accountant with a decade of experience.

I was just hoping he had a Notion template that could help me, find the best Finance Tracker for my team & me.

And boy did I find one!

The template was not cheap but it didn't disappoint. This template was dead simple but still had everything I could ask for.

I'm not gonna ask you to buy his template but just the tip for the next time you think of buying a Notion template: buy it from someone who is experienced in the task and not only knows how to build a good template.

Productivity - Easlo (he has perfected it!)
Content Creation – Me (spend last 3 months building workspaces for creators who have over 10M subscribers) or Thomas Frank (has 4 million subs on YouTube)
Finance - The Accountant Guy (10+ year experience as CA)
Business - Alejandra Cienfuegos (Consulted over 50+ businesses)

I'm Guilty! Here are the changes I'm making 📢

Yes, I'm guilty when I started I went in all directions creating every template I could think of and ended up building terrible templates that looked good but when it came to actually helping you grow, it didn't serve well.

So, I made this decision 3 months ago, I need to stop selling Notion templates that I don't have much knowledge about. I stopped and focused on one niche only "Content Creation" and spent hours talking to creators who were just starting out to content creators working for brands with over 10M subscribers.

Coming forward only templates you'll see from me will be Content Creation based templates.

It's tough removing templates that took me hours to build but I think this is the step I need to take to actually provide you guys with the right value.
